PYWA's Strategic Roadmap

In October 2017, PYWA commissioned a five-person task force to create a strategic road map for the next three to five years.

The first steps in the planning process included listening sessions and an extensive survey. Click here to view the survey results.

The task force proposed a three-year roadmap to PYWA's Core Team on March 1, 2018. After a making a few small adjustments to the roadmap, the Core Team approved the document on March 18, 2018.

  • This is a roadmap and not a detailed strategic plan. It is intended to give direction to the organization without prescribing every detail that needs to happen. PYWA leadership will need to fill in the details as we live into the plan.
  • The roadmap calls for PYWA to strengthen its foundation for three years by focusing on solid deliverables for members, volunteer development, and increasing revenue.
  • The current Core Team of nine people will be transitioning into a "hands-on" board of directors of fifteen people.
  • The roadmap includes a strategy for increasing PYWA's annual budget from around $10,000 (currently) to $50,000 (2020–2021 program year).
