Join us to learn how to navigate the PC(USA)'s resources for creating, reviewing, and updating protection policies that lay the foundation for connecting young people with God's grace, love, hope, and justice.

Moving Beyond “Purpling”—Practicing Intentional Hospitality with LGBTQ Youth
For years, youth workers have used the phrase “no purpling” to prevent young women (pink) from mingling too much with young men (blue). This phrase might have served us well at one time, but it's time to move beyond. It's our responsibility to make sure that young LGBTQ people are able to fully be themselves as children of God. Moving Beyond Purpling is a chance to rethink everything that we use from language and games to everyday logistics when planning overnights and bathroom usage. Come and learn how to practice God's intentional, radical hospitality to all youth, especially those the church has often left on the margins.
Webinar Leader: Shelley Donaldson serves as the senior high youth coordinator at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, IL. She's a contributing author for the recently published book, Four Views on Pastoring LGBT Youth.

Join us in the wilderness this Lent on Wednesdays beginning Ash Wednesday and continuing through Holy Week. Meetups will happen at 2:00 p.m. EST.
