We are seeking a full-time Director for our Youth and Children who will guide our youth and children as a part of our ministry to be a caring congregation where lives are transformed by Christ, and all are encouraged to grow in faith and love.

Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Status: Full Time
Compensation: Flexible

The Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries will provide leadership, and inspiration to guide our children and youth as they grow in the Christian faith and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. This position will help provide the effective management and administration of our youth and children’s programs.

The Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries will:

  • Collaborate with the Children’s Education Committee, Youth Committee, senior pastor and church leaders, including the Director of First Presbyterian Preschool and Kindergarten. Will serve as staff liaison with both committees.
  • Facilitate and develop programming for children and youth, including large and small groups, mission trips, Vacation Bible School, confirmation, and many other programs.
  • Provide leadership to maximize faithful and sustainable programs.
  • Recruit, train, support and encourage a network of volunteer leaders, teachers, and mentors.
  • Serve as a positive representative of the children and youth of our church to our entire church family.
  • Connect the children and youth to the church as a whole.
  • Promote the spirituality of our children and youth through worship opportunities, prayer groups, bible studies, and other programs.
  • Create individual, personal relationships with the children and youth and give leaders, mentors, and other adults opportunities to do the same.
