Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Montreat is a private, non-profit conference center with roots in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). For over 100 years, we have been a place set apart for those who journey here seeking a closer relationship with their Creator.
The Director for Programs is part of a team of five that administers the full array of Montreat-created programs throughout the year. Each program is assigned to one director who is responsible for that program, top to bottom, from long term goals to the smallest annual details. This director position is responsible for the following programs: Thriving Congregations Initiative (funded by a grant from the Lilly Foundation); Clubs (day camp), child care, and recreation programs (all summer programs for the public); summer staff leadership program; College Conference @ Montreat (event held annually January 2-5).
