Change is inevitable in any organization. When the time for change comes, it can be both sad and exciting. Sad, that something that we can come to know and appreciate is coming to an end. Exciting because it means that something new is being born and the next phase of life for the organization is near. This is exactly where PYWA finds itself.
We are sad to announce that Brian Kuhn, our Executive Director for the past two and a half years, will be stepping down at the end of August. We are so grateful for Brian’s leadership and all that he helped PYWA achieve during his time. We are excited for what is next for him and will always be supportive of him and the work that he does.
With Brian’s transition out of the Executive Director position, we are excited to begin thinking about what is next for PYWA and the type of leader to help the organization thrive in all the things that are ahead. We are in the process of creating a job description that we believe best captures the work of the Executive Director and the needs of the organization.
We hope to officially begin our search for our next Executive Director in the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns about what this transition means for PYWA, do not hesitate to reach out to either Pepa Paniagua or John Leedy, PYWA Board Co-Moderators.
