Director of Youth Programming

Job Summary: The Director of Youth Programming will develop and implement youth programs and events, oversee daily operations, mentor young individuals, manage volunteers, collaborate with community organizations and the congregation, and create a safe, inclusive environment. They will also teach and show the love of Jesus Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a Welcoming and Safe Environment: Foster inclusion and ensure every individual feels welcomed and respected. Create a safe space for youth to explore their faith and discuss personal struggles without fear of judgment. Address issues such as bullying and mental health struggles proactively.
- Build Meaningful Relationships: Invest in youth and their families by attending their events and maintaining strong communication. Adapt to the evolving cultural landscape and specific needs of teens today.
- Develop and Foster Youth Talents and Leadership: Identify and plan activities that build confidence and engagement, provide opportunities for youth leadership development, and encourage peer support for a collaborative environment.
- Organize and Lead Engaging Events: Plan innovative, fun, and faith-building events that encourage spiritual growth. Lead all youth events such as camps, mission trips, fundraisers, and conferences. Plan and lead Sunday Morning Christian Education and Wednesday Night Youth Group programming.
- Collaborate with the Church Community: Work closely with church leadership and ministry leaders to integrate the youth ministry into the broader life of the church. Regularly include youth in worship participation and leadership.
- Demonstrate Strong Administrative Skills: Manage resources, plan events, handle logistics, manage budgets, and ensure consistent communication with parents, volunteers, and church leadership. Maintain social media and digital presence.
- Model Christ-like Character: Demonstrate integrity, humility, patience, and kindness in all areas of life. Practice prayerful leadership and seek God’s wisdom in decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Passion for youth development and sharing the Gospel
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- 2+ years of experience with youth programs and volunteer management
- Proficiency in technology and social media
- Commitment to the church’s mission and values
- Strong adaptability and quick learning skills
Compensation:
- Full-time
- $40,000 – $50,000 per year
