First Presbyterian Church of Dallas is seeking a Faith Formation Intern for a 10-week summer internship beginning May 26, 2026. This paid opportunity is ideal for college students, young adults, or individuals interested in gaining hands-on ministry experience working with children and youth in a vibrant church community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Vacation Bible School (VBS), JAM Camp, Mission Week, and youth camps
- Help lead Sunday morning children’s programs and chapel services
- Support children and youth events, social gatherings, and ministry activities
- Collaborate with church staff on planning and programming for the upcoming ministry year
- Build relationships with church members through weekly worship and community involvement
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working with children, youth, and diverse groups of people
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to complete a background check and child protection training
Position Details:
- 10-week summer internship (May 26–August 2026)
- 25–30 hours per week, Sunday–Thursday
- $500 weekly stipend
- Meals, lodging, and transportation provided for church trips and camps
Required Program Dates:
- VBS/JAM Camp: June 1–5
- Mission Week: June 15–18
- Junior High Jubilee at Mo-Ranch: July 5–9
